The Lions were given some semblance of a positive sign about Jack Campbell on Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n
The Detriot linebacker remains hospitalized to rest and recover after being rushed to the hospital following a scary neck injury on Sunday. The team stated \u201cpreliminary indications are positive\u201d but that they will refrain from sharing more information out of respect for Campbell and his family.<\/p>\n
During the fourth quarter of the Lions\u2019 eventual 19-15 win over the then-undefeated Vikings, Campbell attempted to tackle Minnesota tight end TJ Hockenson when his neck and back seemed to crunch.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old laid motionless on the field as players from both teams kneeled and cried while witnessing the terrifying scene. He appeared to not have feeling in his extremities.<\/p>\n
The game went to several TV timeouts as Campbell was stretchered off the field and put in an ambulance.<\/p>\n
In the immediate aftermath, the coach did not have an update on his player.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe don\u2019t know anything else at this point. So here\u2019s what I wanna do. We\u2019re gonna take a knee. Now I wanna pray for Jack, and let\u2019s keep him in our thoughts and prayers, man,\u201d he said at the press conference.<\/p>\n

The Lions later announced that Campbell was at a hospital in Detriot and was being evaluated for a neck injury.<\/p>\n
Quarterback Jared Goff also spoke up for his teammate.<\/p>\n
\u201cJack\u2019s deal was definitely scary,\u201d he said. \u201cIt just brings you back to reality for a moment that he\u2019s a husband and a father. Scary. We\u2019re praying for him and hope he\u2019s going to be alright. If anyone is tough enough to get through something like that it\u2019s going to be him.\u201d<\/p>\n
Campbell is in his fourth NFL season after he was drafted by the Lions at No. 18 overall in 2023 draft out of Iowa.<\/p>\n

He has started in 53 games and tallied 8.5 sacks during that span.<\/p>\n
Campbell came into this season coming off of an All-Pro selection last year after racking up five sacks and 176 tackles across 17 starts for Detroit.<\/p>\n
